Professionalism is an important factor that employers consider when hiring.

An interview is a two-way street, so please make sure to prepare for the interviewer’s questions, as well as your own!

Questions that are brought up in your mind are what to bring to an interview and how best to answer common questions.

It would also be wise if you researched the company so make sure you know the company name.

If it is face to face interview, carry a copy of your resume in a file folder and try to arrive at the interview location 10-15 minutes earlier than your appointment. The same if it is an online interview, be ready prior to the interview time by at least 10-15 minutes. You may have a pen and small notepad to write down as much as you can remember immediately after the interview, including your impression of how well you did.

It is recommended that you sit in -an upright position throughout -the interview, and make sure to keep eye contact and your body language open and welcoming.

The interviewer is expecting to hear more about your achievements, positivity and how being a team player will help you get ahead in your career. Interviewers are interested in candidates who can express themselves properly. So, describe your strengths in terms of what you can do for the organization

Be honest, confident, and full of energy during the interview.

One thing to remember is, do not be nervous, as most interviewers already have an idea of what kind of pressure you are going through.

The second and third interviews are expected to be scheduled before an offer is made for you after some time. It is always recommended that you wait for the interviewer to mention the salary and benefits that they have for this vacancy.

At the end of the interview, thank the interviewer for inviting you to the interview and for the time it was spent with you. You can ask what the next step will be and express your interest in the job. Leave quickly and courteously with a handshake and a smile.

Finally, it is preferable that you send thank you email to reaffirm your interest in that job opportunity. This last step would leave a positive impression and it can make a difference.
