I hold a Master’s degree in Information Technology. With over 15 years of experience in the fields of education and technology, I bring a solid background in teaching, academic leadership, and IT systems development. I am passionate about nurturing students’ computational thinking and preparing them for a digital future.
Currently, I serve as Dean of the College at a higher education institution in the Philippines, where I provide strategic academic leadership by overseeing curriculum development, academic programs, and policy implementation. I lead faculty recruitment, evaluation, and professional development while managing the college’s budget through effective financial planning and resource allocation. I ensure compliance with accreditation standards and represent the college within the university and the broader academic community. This leadership role has enhanced my ability to guide both students and educators toward excellence. Prior to this, I served as a professor for 12 years at Notre Dame of Dadiangas University, where I was also Program Head/Coordinator for Computer Studies for three years. I successfully led the redesign of technology curricula and spearheaded initiatives that integrated real-world applications into academic instruction.
Alongside my academic roles, I have managed various IT system development projects for businesses and organizations, including Point of Sales, Reservation, Supply Management, Enrollment, and Healthcare Information Systems. These experiences have strengthened my technical and analytical skills, as well as my ability to teach complex concepts in practical and accessible ways. I am proficient in a wide range of tools and technologies, including Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and various database management systems. My technical certifications from Microsoft, Mikrotik, and my Certificate of Proficiency in Programming from the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) of the Philippines validate both my subject-matter expertise and dedication to continuous improvement.
